Word Stack

The Russian word-soup game that is the brainchild of a Russian entrepreneur and a Ukrainian software engineer is still one of our favorites. It's simple, addictive, and has the added advantage that you don't need to know Russian to play it. The player who can make the most elaborate word stashes their team by winning the game. The mechanics are simple enough. Each player is dealt a number of cards that corresponds to their level of Russian (simple, medium, or hard). The rest of the cards are left face-down in a pile. The object of the game is to be the first player to form a word chain using every single card you have been dealt (heaven forbid if your hand is empty). At each stage, you are asked to reveal as many cards as possible without revealing your previous word or giving away any letters from your current word. Sometimes this means creating longer chains or artificial constraints while at other times it might mean only revealing partial words like "Tetris" or "trains". You also have to keep track of how many letters are in your current word which can be done by looking for patterns such as "train" or "pencil". Levels There are five levels in total: simple, medium, hard, Japanese, and subtitles. Each level presents with new restrictions on the types of words you can create and new strategies for making words from existing strings. Each level also has its own unique theme and feel that makes it more challenging.

The game is played with a word search board. The player who can find the most words first wins! How ? By spelling any word in the dictionary which begins with the same letter as himself. For example, if a player has to spell ‘brain’, then he can use ‘r-A-n’, because both letters are able to appear in the word ‘brain’ and in the beginning of his own name.
